E3 Strategy

Our Environment, Equity, and Energy (E3) Strategy dedicates a portion of our work to sustainable development 

Our mission is to help people and organizations achieve excellence so they can better serve others. As part of this mission, we seek to maximize support opportunities across three focus areas—the environment, equity, and energy. We call it our E3 Strategy. It underscores our commitment to instill purpose, communal value, and lasting impact in our work.

E3 is adapted from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which coalesce people and organizations worldwide around a common cause. Established by the General Assembly in 2015, these goals provide a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.”

E3 pursues the following goals:

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

End all forms of discrimination against women and girls everywhere
Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life
Support and adopt sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls at all levels

Reduce inequality within and among countries

Empower and promote the social, economic, and political inclusion of all irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, economic status, or other factor
Support and adopt policies—especially fiscal, wage, and social protection policies—that progressively achieve greater equality
Enhance the representation and voice of developing countries in decision-making by global economic and financial institutions to deliver more effective, credible, accountable, and legitimate solutions

Make communities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable

Provide access to safe, affordable, and sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety and expanding public transport with particular attention to vulnerable populations (i.e., women, children, persons with disabilities, and older individuals)
Enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization and capacity for participatory, integrated, and sustainable human settlement planning and management around the world
Provide universal access to safe and inclusive green and public spaces with particular attention to vulnerable populations

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries
Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies, and planning
Improve education, awareness-raising, and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning

Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of ecosystems

Ensure the conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of terrestrial, inland freshwater, marine, and coastal ecosystems
Take urgent and significant action to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity, decrease pollution, and protect and prevent the extinction of threatened species
Integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning, development processes, and poverty reduction strategies

Featured Client Work: Women on Change

Seeking to improve its storytelling and share its mission with others, Women on Change (WoC) invited Luckett & Liles to rethink and reshape its communications strategy through a pro bono partnership. WoC is a US-based nonprofit working to change the lives of disadvantaged girls around the world through mentorship and youth entrepreneurship programs. We supported this mission by assessing communication goals, gathering best practices, and redesigning corporate media. In collaboration with the Executive Director, we helped clarify messaging for varying audiences while bringing on-the-ground
stories front and center. Our expertise in storytelling informed WoC’s donor outreach, grant application, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
